If part or all of your West Virginia Professional Certification is set to expire on June 30, 2018, you must renew your certification.  Renewal options vary by employee—please refer to  FORMS link to see which form and renewal options are correct for you.  Please complete the appropriate form, attach necessary documentation (including original transcripts, when needed), and make payment to WVDE using the PAY for CERTIFICATION  link.  

Once you have made payment and gathered all renewal materials, they must be sent to Lori Western in the Office of Human Resources.  All applications are then processed by our office and sent to WVDE.  Please contact us if you have questions regarding  the certification process. We can provide suggestions and assistance for your individual situation if necessary. 
NOTES re: When to apply:
  • Permanent Certification: you may apply at any time prior to expiration. 
  • Advanced Salary/Advanced degree/Tuition Reimbursement/Additional Endorsement: you may apply at any time.
  • If you are renewing, renewals cannot be sent until January 1 of the expiration year.
