Vaccination Information

WV students entering 7th grade and 12th grades are REQUIRED to have some vaccines, and these must be met before they start school in the fall

 

BY August 1, 2020 students entering the 7th and 12th grades must show proof of:

REQUIRED

1. (Tdap) which protects against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough).

2. Meningitis (MPSV4) vaccine, (which protects against a type of meningitis). If a student is entering the 12th grade, they must have had a dose after the 16th birthday in addition to the dose they may have had at age 11 or 12.

Other vaccines are highly RECOMMENDED and will be available but not required.

3. MENINGITIS B Vaccine covers an additional strain (Meningitis B) that is not included in the required meningitis vaccine for age 16 and older.

4. Varicella (Chickenpox) Vaccine if the student has not had the chickenpox vaccine or a second dose of vaccine.

5. HPV Vaccine is also recommended.
